Норгалакс – the laxative medicine softening fecal masses and facilitating them the advance on a large intestine stimulating a defecation reflex.

Form of release and structure

Dosage form of laxative drug: gel in a microclyster (tube cannula) for rectal use (on 10 g of gel in a tube with a tip, 6 tubes in a cardboard pack).

Contains in 1 microclyster:

Active ingredient: sodium docusate – 120 mg;
Auxiliary components: glycerin, sodium of a karmelloz, the purified water.

Indications to use

Норгалакс use for symptomatic therapy of periodic locks when use of an enema is necessary, and also by preparation for a rektoskopiya.

Contraindications

Disease Krone, ulcer colitis;
Impassability of intestines;
Anal fissures;
Hemorrhoids;
Proctal bleeding;
Hypersensitivity to laxative components.

Route of administration and dosage

Норгалакс apply rektalno.

By means of a microclyster enter gel into a rectum in 5-20 min. prior to alleged defecation.

For use of a microclyster it is required:

To remove a protective cap from a tip tubes cannulas;
To enter a tip into a rectum (for simplification of introduction it can be greased with a gel drop) and squeezing a tuba to squeeze out all contents;
Without weakening pressure to take out a microclyster.

At a symptomatic treatment of locks use to 1 tube cannula a day.

Side effects

Digestive tract: in case of long therapy – a burning sensation in proctal area, rectal pain, a congestive proctitis (extremely seldom), bleeding from an anus; the glycerin which is a part of drug can be a cause of infringement of digestion and diarrhea;
Gepatobiliarny system: in case of oral administration of docusate of sodium, especially the patients using and other laxative drugs, noted a hepatotoxic;
Integuments: small tortoiseshell.

Special instructions

It is not necessary to use drug long time, and in the absence of effect of 1-2 microclysters it is required to reconsider therapy tactics.

Laxative use long time and/or with disturbance of recommendations about dosing can cause deficit of potassium in intestines.

It is not recommended to use without a special purpose of the doctor drug to pregnant women and the feeding women.

Норгалакс it is impossible to apply at children's and teenage age up to 15 years. At children 15 years drug are more senior use exclusively on doctor's orders.

Medicinal interaction

In case of use of laxative strengthening of absorption of medicinal substances / drugs is possible.

Sodium docusate can increase a hepatotoxic of the substances/drugs applied at the same time.

Terms and storage conditions
