Pectusin
Application instruction:
Pectusin – medicine of a plant origin with antimicrobic and antiinflammatory action.
Form of release and structure
Drug is produced in the form of tablets for a rassasyvaniye weighing 800 mg: a ploskotsilindrichesky form, round, from white till white-yellowish color (impregnations of more dark or light color are allowed), with a facet and risky, a specific menthol and eucalyptus smell, it is sweet - the mint cooling taste (on 10 tablets in blister strip packagings, on 2, 3 or 5 packagings in cardboard packs).
The active agents which are contained in 1 tablet:
- L-menthol (left menthol) – 4 mg;
- Eucalyptus oil – 0,5 mg.
Additional components: icing sugar (sucrose), calcium the stearate, talc purified sodium salt of carboxymethylcellulose (a karmelloza of sodium), microcrystallic cellulose.
Indications to use
Pectusin is applied as a part of complex therapy of diseases of upper respiratory tracts of inflammatory character, including pharyngitises, laryngitis, tonsillitis, tracheitises, bronchitis, etc.
Contraindications
- The stenosing laryngitis;
- Bronchial asthma;
- Diabetes mellitus;
- Spasmophilia;
- Deficit of invertase/isomaltase, glyukozo-galaktozny malabsorption, intolerance of fructose;
- Age up to 8 years;
- Hypersensitivity to any component of drug.
With care: pregnancy and period of a lactation.
Route of administration and dosage
Pectusin – drug for topical administration: it should be held in an oral cavity until the tablet completely is dissolved. Not to chew!
The adult usually appoint on 1 tablet 3-4 times a day, to children 8 years – on 1 tablet 1-2 times a day are more senior.
Treatment duration – 5 days.
Side effects
Phytodrug is transferred generally well. Side effects arise seldom and are expressed by allergic reactions (usually an itch in a face and a small tortoiseshell).
Special instructions
1 tablet Pectusin contains about 750 mg of carbohydrates that there correspond 0,06 GU (grain units).
Drug does not influence the speed of psychomotor reactions and ability to concentration of attention therefore it can be applied by patients regardless of the sphere of their professional employment.
