Pharmacological action
Unguentum Terebinthinae renders the disinfecting, distracting, irritating, anesthetizing action. Produce ointment on the basis of the purified turpentine – oils turpentine which can get easily through epidermis and to irritate nerve terminations. Produce terebenthene from coniferous pitches preferential of trees of pine breeds.
Irritant action is rendered by active agents which are emitted under the influence of turpentine. The histamine and other mediators provoking an inflammation cause erubescence, insignificant hypostasis, vasodilatation, and endorphines and enkephalins anesthetize.
The distracting action of Unguentum Terebinthinae is explained by the fact that at use of ointment two flows of excitement come to a nervous system: from internals and directly from the place of processing on skin.
Use of Unguentum Terebinthinae at cough is possible thanks to its mucolytic and expectorant action.

Side effects
