Adsorption

Adsorption (Latin of ad – on, at + sorbeo – to absorb) – concoction (absorption) of solutes or gases on the surface of liquid or a solid.

Allocate:

  • Adsorption of a bacteriophage – a bacteriophage attachment to a surface of a bacterial cell which comes in case of existence at them specific receptors;
  • Adsorption of a virus – the initial stage of a viral infection which consists in a virus attachment to a cell surface.
