Arteriolosclerosis

Arteriolosclerosis (arteriolo sclerosis; Greek aer – air + Greek tereo – to contain + Greek sklerosis – hardening, consolidation) – damage of small arteries and arterioles of muscular type; it is characterized by the sclerous thickening of walls of vessels proceeding with considerable narrowing of their gleam or a cicatricial obliteration of vessels with a perivascular sclerosis.
