Drum cavity

Drum cavity (cavum tympani – definition in system of anatomic terms: PNA (The anatomic nomenclature Parisian), BNA (The anatomic nomenclature Basel), JNA (The anatomic nomenclature Yenskaya)) – the pneumatic space of a middle ear in a pyramid of a temporal bone connecting in front through an acoustical pipe to a nasopharynx cavity, and behind – with a cave and cells of a mastoid.
