Betsolda mastoiditis

Betsolda mastoiditis (F. Bezold, German otorhinolaryngologist, 1842-1908; mastoiditis from Greek mastoeides – mastoidal (shoot) + lat. it (словообраз. a suffix) – inflammatory process) – a type of an apical and cervical mastoiditis at which the break of pus under cervical muscles is made through an internal wall of a top of a mastoid; it is expressed by forced position of the head, morbidity at its movements, a swelling on a neck; can simulate cervical lymphadenitis or phlegmon of a neck.
