Birkhera gastroplication

Birkhera gastroplication (historical; N of Bircher, Swiss surgeon, 1850-1923; gastroplicatio; Greek gaster – a stomach + lat. plico, plicatum – a fold to put) – surgery at which sewing up of a front wall of a stomach in a longitudinal fold for reduction of its volume at an atony and expansion is carried out; did not gain distribution.
