Bronchiolitis

Bronchiolitis (bronchiolitis; bronchioli of armor. diminutive from Greek bronch-(a bronchial tube-); Greek bronchos – a windpipe; the prefix designating communication with bronchial tubes + lat. it (словообраз. a suffix) – inflammatory process; synonym: a capillary bronchitis) – an inflammation of walls of bronchioles, the most often bacterial or virus genesis; in the form of an independent disease it is noted at children of the first year of life.

Allocate a bronchiolitis:

  • Influenzal (gripposa) – preferential hemorrhagic character, caused by influenza viruses;
  • Intramural (intramuralis) – at which is, as a rule, noted intraparietal inflammatory infiltration; it is characteristic of measles;
  • Caseous (caseosa) – proceeding with formation of a tyromatosis of peribronkhiolyarny (peribronchial) fabric and walls of bronchioles; it is noted at measles and tuberculosis;
  • Catarral (catarrhalis) – at which is observed a catarrh of a mucous membrane of bronchioles;
  • Obliterating (obliterans) – differing in destruction of walls and overgrowing by granulyatsionny fabric of a gleam of bronchioles;
  • Obliterating inborn (obliterans congenita) – the bronchiolitis revealed at newborns obliterating, caused by pre-natal infection of a fruit.
