Hepatargy

Hepatargy (hepatargia; Greek hepatos, hepar – a liver + Greek argia – a divergence; synonym: encephalopathy is portosistemny, encephalopathy hepatic, an angepatiya) – the clinical syndrome arising against the background of hepatic intoxication or a heavy liver failure, which is characterized by emergence of a "hepatic" smell from a mouth and psychological disturbances, and also possible development of a hepatic coma.
