Ventrikulokavostomiya

Ventrikulokavostomiya (ventriculocavostomia; anatomic ventriculus – a ventricle, a stomach + anatomic vena cava – a vena cava + Greek stoma – an opening) – surgery at which cerebrospinal liquid from a side ventricle of a brain is taken away in an upper vena cava by means of artificial drainage valve system; it is used for treatment of occlusal hydrocephaly.
