Validol – a calmative.
Pharmacological action
Active ingredient of Validol - menthol solution in mentit isovalerate. Drug renders soothingly and reflex vasodilating effect that is caused by irritation of nerve terminations. Also drug, influencing receptors of mucous, provides development of a number of the substances accepting in participation in regulation of permeability of vessels.
At Tabulettae Validoli rassasyvaniye under language the effect occurs in 5 min.
Release form
Produce Validol of a tablet, the capsule and a drop for sublingual use (hypoglossal).
Indications to Validol use
According to the instruction Validol is appointed at stenocardia, a cardialgia, neurosis, a headache because of use of nitrates, hysteria.
Use of Validol at a motion desease syndrome is effective, for elimination of nausea, vomiting at air and a sea sickness.
Application instruction of Validol
The pill Validol is taken sublingual (under language) on 1y to a tablet 2-3r/den. Depending on efficiency of a medical course its duration is defined. If after acceptance of a tablet during 5-10min. the due therapeutic effect is not observed, it is desirable to apply other means.
Drops accept on 3-6kap. at one time. Validol drip on sugar which is held in a mouth before dissolution. According to the instruction of Validol its daily dose has to be no more than 9-24 drops, and frequency rate of receptions – 3-4/days. The dose can be increased if on medical indications it is necessary.
Use of Validol in capsules is carried out according to the scheme of use of tablets.
Side effects
Validol use in rare instances can cause lacrimation, slight nausea, dizziness. Elimination of these symptoms does not demand holding procedures of the emergency help, usually they pass independently.
Contraindications to Validol use
Means is not appointed at individual intolerance of its components, at the expressed hypotonia, an acute myocardial infarction.
With care appoint Validol at pregnancy, during feeding a breast. Validol at pregnancy can be appointed only on special medical indicators.
If to accept Validol according to the instruction, in the resolved norms, it does not cause problems with speed of response, so management of transport and other mechanisms is possible during therapy passing.
The possibility of use of Validol by children was not studied.
As a part of Validol there is no sugar therefore it is authorized to accept it sick diabetes (without sugar use as excipient).
