Inflammation of a century

Inflammation of a century – the inflammatory process of various etiology proceeding on upper, lower centuries or striking both centuries. Symptoms of an inflammation of a century are various: itch, reddening, swelling. Barley (inflammatory process of meibomian glands of edge of a century), abscess of a century (an abscess of a century), a blepharitis (an inflammation of edge of a century), a herpes infection are the main reasons for an inflammation of a century.

Barley – acute purulent inflammatory process of a hair sack of an eyelash or sebaceous gland which channel falls into its sack. Golden staphylococcus is the main reason for development of a disease. Barley also has the name a meibomitis – purulent staphylococcal inflammatory process of meibomian glands. Barley can be single and multiple. Development of an inflammation of both an upper, and lower eyelid, one or both eyes can be observed.

Symptoms of an inflammation of a century at a meibomitis:

• Swelling, redness;
• Hypostasis of a century;
• Morbidity at a palpation;
• Purulent discharges from a swelling top.

At such inflammation of a century treatment comes down to local cauterization of the inflamed site of a century of 70% alcohol or solution diamond green.

Abscess of a century – the abscess caused by hit of an infection in the wound surfaces of skin of a century. Quite often this inflammation of a century is a consequence of distribution of purulent process of barley. (Also lower) the purulent processes proceeding in surrounding fabrics – paranasal sinuses, an eye-socket are other common cause of an inflammation of an upper eyelid. The most frequent causative agent of abscess of a century is staphylococcus.

Symptom of an inflammation of a century at abscess:

• Increase in a century, swelling of its site;
• Reddening of a century;
• Acquisition by a conjunctiva of a yellowish shade;
• Pain in an eye, centuries;
• Severe headaches.

At such inflammation of a century treatment provides use of antibiotics, elimination of the main reason for development of abscess, physiotherapeutic treatment. In extreme cases at purulent fusion surgical intervention is necessary.

The herpetic inflammation of a century is caused by a simple virus of herpes (Herpes Simplex) and a virus of the surrounding herpes (Herpes Zoster). The disease affects both an upper, and lower eyelid, on skin a century the bubbles filled with watery contents are formed. During a disease contents of bubbles grow turbid, bubbles are opened, after that affected areas of a century begin to live, becoming covered by an epithelium. The course of a disease is complicated by a severe itch, at mechanical damage of bubbles there is a spread of a virus and further defeat of fabrics. Inflammatory process is followed by moderate painful feelings. Virus defeat by herpes has recurrent character.

The blepharitis is the most frequent reason of development of the inflammatory processes of the century.

Blepharitis – inflammatory process of edge of a century. Refer weakening of protective functions of an organism, persistent infections, digestive tract pathologies, sanitary and hygienic living conditions of the person, a vitamin deficiency, purulent inflammations of adnexal bosoms of a nose to the main reasons for development of a blepharitis.

The main symptoms of a blepharitis are:

• Burning, reddening of a century;
• Feeling of a foreign body in an eye;
• Foamy or purulent discharges.

Other specific symptoms are characteristic of certain types of a disease.

Distinguish the following types of blepharites:

• Demodikozny – the activator of this type of an inflammation of a lower eyelid (and also upper) is the tick of Demodex living in bulbs of eyelashes. Infection of the person with a tick occurs from birds, the down or feathers which are in bedding;
• Scaly – has this appearance of a blepharitis also the name of seborrhea. Characteristic symptoms for this type of an inflammation of an upper eyelid (lower) are narrowing of a palpebral fissure, formation of gray, white, yellowish scales, similar to dandruff, at the basis of eyelashes, a severe painful itch, hypersensitivity to light, dust, wind;
• Ulcer – this type of an inflammation of a lower eyelid (upper) is one of the most irregular shapes of a disease. Pronounced painful feelings, and also formation of sores through growth of eyelashes are characteristic of it. Bloody allocations from affected areas of a century are in certain cases observed. Process is followed by loss of eyelashes;
• Angular – an angular blepharitis is characterized by localization of inflammatory process in corners of a palpebral fissure with accumulation of foamy contents;
• Meibomian – an inflammation of a century in which process not only skin sites of a century, but also meibomian glands are involved. Inflammatory process is characterized by yellow-white allocations, formation of crusts, accumulation in corners of eyes of foamy and purulent contents. Often this inflammation of a century is followed by conjunctivitis.

How to reveal an inflammation of a century at the child

The inflammation of a century can develop at children. Group of the highest risk are preschool children and school students. Non-compliance with hygiene is the main reason for development of an inflammation of a century in the child. It is possible to reveal an inflammation of a century at the child even at an initial stage when the child does not complain of painful, unpleasant feelings. So, the inflammation of a century at the child is shown by frequent blinking, dacryagogue. The child often rubs an eye. At babies at an inflammation of a century frequent blinking, dacryagogue, crying, refusal of food is observed. At detection of the inflammatory process of the century at the child it is necessary to see a doctor immediately.

At ulcer, scaly blepharites regular processing of affected areas of a century is necessary for elimination of scales and purulent discharges.
