Zanotsin
Application instruction:
Zanotsin – antibacterial drug of group of ftorkhinolon.
Form of release and structure
Zanotsin release in the following dosage forms:
- Solution for infusions (on 100 ml in bottles, on 1 bottle in a cardboard pack);
- Tablets, coated or a film cover (on 10 pieces in blisters, on 1 blister in a cardboard pack).
The structure of 1 tablet and 100 ml of infusion solution includes active agent: ofloxacin – 200 mg.
Indications to use
- Infections: urinary tract, gynecologic (including gonorrhea, clamidiosis), ENT organs, airways, organs of sight, soft tissues and skin, digestive tract;
- Endocarditis;
- Tuberculosis (as a part of the combined treatment as drug of the second row);
- Bacteremia.
Contraindications
- Age up to 12 years;
- Pregnancy and period of a lactation;
- Hypersensitivity to drug components.
Zanotsin patients should apply with care with pathology of the central nervous system (epilepsy, cerebral atherosclerosis).
Route of administration and dosage
Zanotsin's dose is selected individually.
Drug in the form of tablets is accepted inside. The scheme of use is defined by indications:
- Intestinal infections and uncomplicated infections of urinary tract: 2 times a day on 200 mg;
- Infections of various etiology: 2 times a day on 200-400 mg;
- Clamidiosis: 2 times a day on 300-400 mg for 7-10 days;
- The prostatitises caused by E.coli: 2 times a day on 300 mg (up to 6 weeks);
- Acute uncomplicated gonorrhea: once 400 mg.
Zanotsin in the form of solution apply to infusions intravenously, kapelno, infusionally. Drug is appointed, as a rule:
- Infections of urinary tract: 2 times a day on 200 mg;
- Intraabdominal infections, infections of soft tissues, skin, respiratory tracts: 2 times a day on 200-400 mg.
Side effects
During therapy the following side effects can develop:
- Central nervous system: weakness, dizziness, sleep disorder, headache, photophobia;
- Alimentary system: gastric discomfort, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, anorexia;
- Allergic reactions: fever, rash, hypostases, itch.
Special instructions
At Zanotsin's use it is necessary to provide sufficient hydration of an organism. Patients are recommended to avoid excess insolation (ultra-violet radiation).
Medicinal interaction
The effect of Zanotsin's use is lowered by antacids (slow down absorption).
In some cases Zanotsin can increase theophylline level in plasma.
Terms and storage conditions
To store in protected from light, the place, dry, unavailable to children, at a temperature up to 25 °C.
Period of validity:
- Solution for infusions – 2 years;
- Tablets, coated or a film cover – 3 years.
