Dimefosfon

Dimefosfon – antiatsidotichesky means with antiinflammatory and antioxidant action.

Form of release and structure

Dosage form – solution for intake and external use of 15%: yellowish or colourless transparent or opalescent liquid, has a peculiar smell (on 100 or 200 ml in glass brown or orange bottles, in a cardboard pack 1 bottle complete with a measured glass).

Active ingredient – диметилоксобутилфосфонилдиметилат, in 100 ml – 15 g.

Auxiliary components: the water purified.

Indications to use

Oral administration of Dimefosfon is shown as a part of complex therapy:

• Chronic and acute forms of disturbance of cerebral circulation;
• Craniocereberal injury;
• Effects of hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes;
• Migraine;
• Vegeto-vascular dystonia on parasympathetic type;
• Diseases of bodies of respiratory system;
• Atopic bronchial asthma;
• Chronic forms of nonspecific pathologies of lungs with symptoms of pulmonary and cordial and respiratory insufficiency (use of drug does not remove attacks of suffocation and does not influence frequency rate of use of aerosols of beta-adrenergic agonists);
• Multiple sclerosis;
• Chronic cerebrovascular insufficiency against the background of a hypertension and atherosclerosis;
• Osteochondrosis;
• Acidosis;
• Pollinosis;
• Menyer's disease;
• Neurosurgical planned operations.

External use of solution is shown:

• Dermatological diseases of skin, including fat seborrhea, eels, pink eels (as a part of complex therapy);
• Infectious and inflammatory and allergic diseases and injuries of mucous membranes and skin: erysipelatous inflammation, postoperative seams and places of an exit of spokes of the device of Ilizarov, wound;
• Prevention of a mukozit at radiation therapy.

Contraindications

• Chronic renal failure of the II-III degree;
• Epilepsy;
• Age up to 12 years (at therapy of vegeto-vascular dystonia on parasympathetic type);
• Age up to 18 years (at treatment of chronic and acute disorders of cerebral circulation, craniocereberal injuries, effects of hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes, migraine, chronic forms of nonspecific pathologies of lungs with symptoms of pulmonary and cordial and respiratory insufficiency, multiple sclerosis, chronic cerebrovascular insufficiency owing to a hypertension and atherosclerosis, osteochondrosis, Menyer's disease; when carrying out neurosurgical planned operations).

During pregnancy and breastfeeding appointment of drug is allowed only if the estimated therapeutic effect exceeds probable risk for a fruit and the child.

With care it is necessary to apply on mucous membranes, solution can cause irritation, in this case it needs to be parted in a proportion 1:1 (on one part of drug one part of water).

Route of administration and dosage

Dimefosfon's solution is accepted orally after food, washing down with water.

The dose and the period of treatment are appointed by the doctor on the basis of clinical indications.

Drug dosing as a part of complex therapy of adult patients:

• Chronic and acute disorder of cerebral circulation, effect of hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes, craniocereberal injury: on 15 ml (1 tablespoon) 3-4 times a day, within 2-3 weeks, in special cases up to 6 weeks;
• Chronic cerebrovascular insufficiency against the background of a hypertension and atherosclerosis, migraine: on 15 ml 3 times a day, within 2-3 weeks;
• Chronic forms of nonspecific pathologies of lungs with symptoms of pulmonary and cordial and respiratory insufficiency: on 15 ml 3-4 times a day. Duration of treatment is from 7 to 10 days;
• Neurosurgical planned operations: on 15 ml of 1 times a day within 5 days to and 8 weeks after operation;
• Multiple sclerosis: on 15 ml 3 times a day, within 10 days of each autumn and spring month;
• Osteochondrosis: on 10 ml (1 dessertspoon) 3-4 times a day. The reception course 2-3 weeks, improvement of a state comes in 8-10 days of treatment;
• Menyer's disease: on 15 ml 3 times a day, a course of treatment – 3 weeks.

Solution dose at treatment of vegeto-vascular dystonia on parasympathetic type:

• The adult – on 15 ml 3 times a day, within 2-3 weeks;
• To children aged from 12 years – on 10-15 ml 3 times a day, a course of treatment – 3 weeks.

At treatment of diseases of a respiratory organs, atopic bronchial asthma, acidosis and a pollinosis Dimefosfon I accept 3-4 times a day (depending on weight of a state) within 4-5 weeks, one-time dosing has age restrictions:

• The adult – on 15-25 ml;
• To children up to 3 years – on 5 ml (1 teaspoon);
• From 3 to 8 years – on 10 ml;
• 8 years – on 15 ml are more senior.

Treatment of atopic bronchial asthma in combination with a pollinosis should be begun in 2-3 weeks prior to emergence of symptoms of a disease and to continue administration of drug throughout the entire period of blossoming.

Methods of external use of solution depend on clinical indications:

• Infectious and inflammatory and allergic diseases of mucous membranes and skin: in the form of lotions, bandages and turundas with solution of 1 times a day, within 3-14 days;
• Postoperative seams and places of an exit of spokes of the device of Ilizarov: daily impose the gauze napkins impregnated with solution, a course of treatment – 7-14 days;
• Acne disease (as a part of complex therapy): appoint wiping of skin solution 3-4 times a day, it is recommended to impose lotions in the evening;
• Erysipelatous inflammation of skin: 3 times a day 3-5 days moisten the inflamed sites;
• Prevention of a beam mukozit: the moistened gauze napkins give all the best in a zone of a projection of bunches of radiation in 20 minutes prior to radiation.

Side effects

Dimefosfon's use inside can cause side effects in the form of drowsiness, the dispeptic phenomena, deterioration in concentration of attention. They are temporary and pass in 3-4 days of reception of solution.

Special instructions

As on taste drug bitter, children should wash down it with sweet tea, milk or fruit juice.

In the first days of administration of drug there is a probability of emergence in the patient of a condition of drowsiness therefore during this period it is recommended to refrain from control of vehicles and those types of works which performance depends on the speed of psychomotor reactions and special attentiveness.

Medicinal interaction of drug is not established.

To store in the place protected from light at a temperature up to 25 °C. To protect from children.

Period of validity – 3 years.
