Donormil – a hypnagogue.

Form of release and structure

Dosage form – tablets, film coated: white color, a rectangular shape with dividing risky from two parties (on 30 pieces in tubas polypropylene, in a cardboard pack 1 tuba).

Active agent – доксиламин succinate, in 1 tablet – 15 mg.

Auxiliary components: magnesium stearate, lactoses monohydrate, cellulose microcrystallic, croscarmellose sodium.

Structure of a film cover: gipromelloza, Sepispers ARE 7001 (gipromelloza, titanium dioxide CI 77891, propylene glycol, water), macrogoal 6000.

Indications to use

Donormil's use is shown to patients with passing sleep disorders.

Contraindications

• Glyukozo-galaktozny malabsorption, inborn galactosemia, deficit of lactase;
• Closed-angle glaucoma;
• The diseases of a prostate and urethra which are followed by urine outflow disturbance;
• Age up to 15 years;
• Breastfeeding period;
• Hypersensitivity to drug components.

With care appoint the patient: 65 years – in connection with probable increase by T1/2 or danger of falling after reception of sleeping pill at night awakenings are more senior (dizzinesses and the slowed-down reactions are possible); with apnoea cases in the anamnesis as against the background of administration of drug there is a risk of a sudden apnoea in a dream (доксиламин succinate can aggravate a syndrome of a night apnoea); at a liver and renal failure (increase in T1/2 is possible).

Route of administration and dosage

Donormil accept inside, in 15-30 minutes prior to a dream, washing down with a small amount of liquid.

The recommended dosing – on 1/2 or 1 tablet of 1 times a day, within 2-5 days.

At inefficiency of therapy the doctor can increase a dose to 2 tablets.

If sleep disorders remain, it is necessary to consult with the doctor.

To patients with a liver and renal failure 65 years are also more senior dose adjustment towards reduction is recommended.

Side effects

Donormil's use can become the reason of the following side effects:

• From cardiovascular system: heart consciousness;
• From the alimentary system: dryness in a mouth, a lock;
• From kidneys and urinary ways: ischuria;
• From an organ of sight: accommodation disturbances;
• From a nervous system: drowsiness in the afternoon (the dose of drug should be reduced).

Special instructions

At purpose of drug at the end of the III trimester of pregnancy, it is necessary to consider atropinopodobny and sedative action of a doksilamin at observation of a condition of the newborn.

It is necessary to consider that the condition of sleeplessness can be caused by the reasons at which use of drug is not obligatory.

Drug can aggravate a syndrome of a night apnoea – a sudden apnoea in a dream.

Patients with inborn intolerance of a galactose, glyukozo-galaktozny malabsorption and deficit of lactase need to consider that 1 tablet of drug contains 100 mg of lactose of monohydrate.

During treatment the use of alcoholic beverages is forbidden.

As drug can cause drowsiness days in the afternoon, during treatment it is necessary to avoid control of vehicles and mechanisms, and also other types of works which performance depends on bystry psychomotor and motor reactions.

Medicinal interaction

Simultaneous use of Donormil with barbiturates, sedative antidepressants (amitriptyline, доксепин, миансерин, миртазапин, тримипрамин), benzodiazepines, pizotifeny, derivative morphine (analgetics, antitussives), a clonidine, neuroleptics, sedative anti-histamine means, anxiolytics, anti-hypertensive drugs of the central action, Baclofenum, a thalidomide leads to strengthening of the oppressing action on a nervous system.

The probability of emergence of side effects in the form of dryness in a mouth, ischurias, locks increases at a drug combination to m-holinoblokiruyushchimi means (imipraminovy antidepressants, atropine and atropinic spasmolysants, antiparkinsonichesky drugs, fenotiazinovy neuroleptics, Disopyramidum).

It is necessary to avoid a concomitant use with etanolsoderzhashchy medicines as at a combination to ethanol there is strengthening of sedation of antagonists histamine H1 receptors.
