Ftorokortum – medicine of group of glucocorticosteroids.

Pharmacological action of Ftorokortum

Thanks to the active components which are a part of Ftorokortum, drug promotes reduction of manifestations of allergic reactions, inflammatory processes and an itch, performing at the same time anti-exudative function.

Ftorokortum and analogs of means have vasoconstrictive effect, normalize vascular permeability thanks to stabilization of a membrane of lysosomes, and also influence the speed of division of epidermal cells towards its reduction.

At the heart of effect of medicine a release braking mechanism interleykina-1,2 gamma interferon from macrophages and lymphocytes. Besides, Ftorokortum has the oppressing effect on release of mediators of an inflammation of an eozonofilama, causes formation of lipokortin and reduces quantity of mast cells.

Release form

According to the instruction Ftorokortum is issued in the form of ointment for external use. The main active ingredient – acetonide of Triamcinolonum which mass fraction makes 0,1%. Ointment Ftorokortum – a homogenous matter of light, almost white color, without the expressed smell. Means is packed into an aluminum tuba weighing 15 g which is placed in a cardboard pack.

Indications to use of Ftorokortum

Contraindications

Ointment needs to be applied a thin layer on the damaged sites of skin with a frequency which is not exceeding 3 times. The amount of the ointment used at applications should not be more than 15 g a day. In case of need ointment can be applied under an occlusive (tight) bandage. The recommended amount of ointment in such situations makes 10 g or less.

The course of treatment Ftorokortum makes from 5 to 10 days. Extension up to 25 days is in rare instances possible. However it is not necessary to use drug longer than 4 weeks.

Side effects of Ftorokortum

Drug is not recommended to be used to pregnant women and women in the period of a lactation.

Ftorokortum should not be applied on extensive body surfaces, face skin, and also it is necessary to avoid its prolonged use at children of any age.

It is not recommended to apply means in ophthalmology.

Use together with antimicrobic drugs as prophylactic at local infections is allowed.

Storage conditions
