Galavit

Galavit – the drug having the regulating effect on immune system, and also having the expressed antiinflammatory effect.

Pharmacological action

Galavit's properties are caused by his ability to change activity of macrophages, actively fascinating and digesting bacteria, particles, toxic or alien for an organism. Thanks to reduction of excessive activity of macrophages, Galavit exerts impact on recurrence and extent of inflammatory reactions, thereby reducing intoxication caused by inflammatory process. Promoting regulation of function of macrophages, to decrease in level of an autoaggression (self-damage), recovery of synthesis of antigens, Galavit allow to improve nonspecific resistance of an organism (immunity). Clinical action of Galavit after single use continues within 3 days. This medicine is not metabolized, its main part is removed with urine.

Indications to use

Purpose of drug of Galavit is reasonable, the instruction confirms, in the following cases:

• immunodeficiency, including secondary immune insufficiency;
• chronic recurrent herpes;
• chronic recurrent furunculosis;
• need of correction of immunity at patients with oncological diseases;
• infectious diseases, including hepatitises, purulent meningitis, ugly face, septic state;
• prevention of the pyoinflammatory complications arising during the postoperative period;
• posttraumatic osteomyelitis (it is purulent - necrotic process in the bones surrounding them fabrics, marrow);
• diseases of digestive tract of inflammatory character (disease Krone, nonspecific ulcer colitis, peptic ulcer, etc.);
• intoxication and diarrheal syndrome accompanying intestinal infections (dysentery, salmonellosis, food toxicoinfection);
• diseases of urinogenital system of inflammatory character (pyelonephritis, pyelitis, prostatitis, urethritis, vaginitis, salpingitis);
• chronic inflammatory diseases;
• bronchopulmonary diseases (pneumonia, bronchitis, bronchial asthma);
• vascular disorders of various origin;
• the microcirculation disturbance which became the reason of decrease in sexual function.

Application instruction of Galavit

Galavit suppository and powder for preparation of solution for intramuscular injections is produced in the form of tablets for hypoglossal use, rectal. Duration of treatment and the mode of dosing are defined by the attending physician with specific features of the patient and the nature of a disease.

Previously having dissolved powder in 2 ml of 0,9% of sodium of chloride or special water, Galavit of an injection are entered intramusculary. Administration of drug at diseases of a digestive tract of infectious character is usually appointed 2-3 times a day, the initial dose equal 0,2g, afterwards reduce to 0,1g. According to the same scheme Galavit's injections are appointed and at infectious diseases, however the course of treatment longer and makes about 25 administrations of drug.

Diseases of urinogenital system and digestive tract of noninfectious character are treated by introduction to the first few days 2 g of Galavit with the subsequent transition to use of 1 g of drug once in 2-3 days once a day. The course of treatment, as a rule, makes from 15 to 25 injections of Galavit.

At a hysteromyoma and as prevention of postoperative infectious complications the daily dose of drug makes 1 g and is entered in full once a day within 5 days then the same dose of Galavit is applied once in two days for 10 days. The final stage of treatment assumes introduction of 1 g of drug of 1 times in 2-3 days. A course of treatment – 15-25 injections of Galavit.

The benign hyperplasia of a prostate assumes daily administration of drug of 1 g for 5 days with the subsequent transition to use of the same volume of Galavit of 1 times in 2-3 days.

At a herpes infection and a recurrent furunculosis of 20 injections of Galavit are appointed according to the following scheme: within 10 days 1 g 1 time a day, then – 1 time in two days is entered.

Chronic inflammatory processes, according to the instruction to Galavit, are treated by introduction of 1 g of drug within 5 days with the subsequent transition to once in two-three days once a day. The course of treatment usually assumes about 20 injections of Galavit. According to the same scheme the drug and for the purpose of correction of immunity at patients with oncological diseases is administered.

Candles of Galavit are intended for rectal use. Before use of this form of drug it is recommended to empty intestines then to make introduction suppositories in an anus. One Galavit a candle corresponds 0,1g drug.

At infectious diseases it is recommended to enter 2-3 times a day at first on 2 candles of Galavit, then – on 1 candle, after disappearance of symptoms of a disease 1 candle is applied once in 3 days. The general course dose corresponds to 25 suppositories.

At diseases of urinogenital system and digestive tract of noninfectious character usually appoint 15-25 candles of Galavit. The first two days on the 2nd suppositories once a day then pass to 1 candle which is entered once in 3 days.

At a hysteromyoma and a benign hyperplasia the instruction is recommended to apply 1 candle to Galavit for 5 days with the subsequent reduction of frequency rate of introductions to once in three days once a day. The course of treatment assumes use the 20th suppository.

Efficiency suppository at prevention of postoperative complications is confirmed by reviews of Galavita. Introduction the 15th suppository according to the following scheme is appointed: the first 5 days once a day, then within 10 days of 1 times in 2 days, then 1 time in three days. One use assumes introduction of 1 candle of Galavit.

Side effects

Contraindications

Despite efficiency and relative safety of drug of Galavit, the instruction prohibits its use to pregnant women and the feeding women, and also persons with hypersensitivity to drug components.

Additional information

Candles of Galavit should be stored at a temperature which is not exceeding ^120C while storage of powder for preparation of injections is admissible also at ^15-250C. The period of validity of Galavit makes 2 years.
