Immunal – the immunostimulating drug of a plant origin.

Form of release and structure

Immunal release in two dosage forms:

• Solution for intake: brown color, from transparent to muddy; at storage of solution formation of a flocculent deposit is allowed (in dark glass bottles on 50 ml, on 1 bottle in a cardboard pack complete with a dosing pipette);
• Tablets: ploskotsilindrichesky, round, light brown with impregnations, with a vanilla smell (in blisters on 10 pieces, on 2-4 blisters in a cardboard pack; in blisters on 20 pieces, on 1-3 blisters in a cardboard pack).

For intake is a part of 1 ml of solution:

• Active agent: a purple cone-flower purple (grass juice) – 0,8 ml;
• Auxiliary components: sorbitol, ethanol.

Is a part of 1 tablet:

• Active agent: a purple cone-flower purple (the dried-up grass juice) – 80 mg;
• Auxiliary components: colloid silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, lactose, vanillin, cherry fragrance, sodium saccharinate.

Indications to use

Immunal appoint for prevention of flu and catarrhal diseases, strengthening of immunity at predisposition to development of frequent catarrhal diseases and uncomplicated acute infectious diseases and also as supportive application at long use of antibiotic drugs at treatment of chronic infectious diseases which are followed by decrease in immunity.

Contraindications

• The progressing autoimmune and general diseases (leukoses, tuberculosis, multiple sclerosis, collagenoses, AIDS, HIV infection);
• Age up to 4 years (tablet) and till 1 year (solution for intake);
• Hypersensitivity to drug components, and also to plants of family of a thistle family.

Route of administration and dosage

Immunal accept inside.

Tablets are washed down with water. Small children are recommended to crush a tablet and to mix it with juice, tea or water (small amount).

For the correct dosing of Immunal in the form of solution for intake it is recommended to use the graduated dosing pipette enclosed in a set. The necessary quantity of drops before reception needs to be parted in the small volume of water.

As a rule, drug is appointed:

• Adults and children of 12 years: on 1 tablet 3-4 times a day or on 2,5 ml of solution 3 times a day;
• Children of 6-12 years: on 1 tablet 1-3 times a day or on 1,5 ml of solution 3 times a day;
• Children of 4-6 years: on 1 tablet 1-2 times a day;
• Children of 1-6 years: on 1 ml of solution 3 times a day.

For achievement of therapeutic effect Immunal is recommended to accept not less than 7 days. It is not necessary to accept drug continuously longer than 2 months.

Side effects

At Immunal's use in some cases there can be hypersensitivity reactions: itch, skin rash, bronchospasm, asthma, dizziness, Quincke's disease, Stephens-Johnson's syndrome, acute anaphylaxis, lowering of arterial pressure.

At continuous administration of drug longer than 2 months development of a leukopenia is possible.

At emergence of side effects it is necessary to interrupt therapy and to see a doctor.

Special instructions

Before Immunal's reception by children up to 12 years and the patients having allergic diseases and bronchial asthma in the anamnesis it is necessary to consult with the attending physician.

If for 10 days symptoms of a disease remain, it is necessary to consult with the doctor who appointed treatment.

At storage of solution for intake loss of the flocculent deposit consisting of active polysaccharides is allowed. Before the drug use the bottle with contents needs to be stirred up carefully.

20% of ethanol are a part of solution for intake.

Medicinal interaction

Ethanol because of what Immunal can change or strengthen effect of other medicines is a part of solution for intake.

At use of antibiotic drugs of group of cephalosporins (a moxalactam, a tsefotetan, a tsefamandol, a tsefoperazon, a tsefmenoksim) along with reception even of a small amount of ethanol clinically significant medicinal interaction was noted. Reaction of patients was characterized by nausea, a headache, face reddening, a cardiopalmus and the increased sweating. That to avoid it, Immunal in the form of solution it is not necessary to apply to intake together with above-mentioned antibiotics (administration of drug is possible only 3 days later after the termination of a course of therapy by the specified cephalosporins).

Mutual weakening of action is noted at simultaneous use of Immunal with immunodepressants.

There are no data on any interaction with other drugs.

Terms and storage conditions

To store in the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature up to 25 °C.

Period of validity:

• Tablets – 3 years;
• Solution for intake – 2 years.
