Omnik
Application instruction:
Omnik – the alfa1-adrenoblocker applied at disturbances of an urination owing to a benign hyperplasia of a prostate.
Form of release and structure
Dosage form – capsules with the modified release: the size No. 2, gelatinous firm, the case of orange color with the graphic representation of the trademark of firm and marking "701", a lid of olive-green color with marking "0,4"; contents – granules from color, white to white with a light yellow shade (on 10 pieces in blisters, 1 or 3 blisters in a cardboard pack).
Active agent: the tamsulozina a hydrochloride, its contents in 1 capsule makes 400 mkg.
Inactive components: copolymer of methacrylic acid (type C), titanium dioxide, talc, triacetin, sodium lauryl sulfate, calcium stearate, microcrystallic cellulose, indigotin, gelatin, polysorbate 80, ferrous oxide yellow and red.
Indications to use
Omnik – the drug intended for treatment of the dysuric frustration caused by prostate adenoma.
Contraindications
- The expressed liver failure;
- Orthostatic hypotension (in the anamnesis including);
- Hypersensitivity to any component of drug.
Omnik it is necessary to apply with care at a heavy renal failure (clearance of creatinine less than 10 ml/minute) and predispositions to orthostatic hypotension.
Route of administration and dosage
Omnik it is necessary to accept inside after a breakfast: to swallow of capsules entirely and to wash down with enough water.
The standard dose makes 400 mkg of 1 times a day.
Duration of treatment is defined individually.
Side effects
Omnik is had preferential well. In rare instances there are following side effects:
- From the alimentary system: nausea, vomiting, lock or diarrhea;
- From a reproductive system: retrograde ejaculation;
- From the central nervous system: headache, adynamy;
- From cardiovascular system: dizziness, heart consciousness, orthostatic hypotension, tachycardia;
- Allergic reactions: itch, skin rash, Quincke's disease.
Special instructions
Before Omnik's appointment the patient has to undergo inspection to exclude existence of other diseases which can cause similar symptoms.
Before an initiation of treatment and during therapy regular manual rectal inspection is shown and if there is a need, definition of a specific antigen of a prostate (PSA).
Patients at whom predisposition to orthostatic hypotension is noted during treatment have to be under constant observation. In case of the first symptoms of a disease (weakness and dizziness) it is necessary to lay or seat the patient.
Medicinal interaction
Cimetidinum can slightly increase concentration of a tamsulozin in a blood plasma, furosemide – to reduce (dose adjustment of Omnik at the same time is not required).
Warfarin and diclofenac at simultaneous use can increase the speed of removal of a tamsulozin a little.
At the combined use with other alfa1-adrenoblockers perhaps expressed lowering of arterial pressure.
Terms and storage conditions
