Pancreatinum is released in the form of biconvex tablets, coated light pink color. Powder of Pancreatinum of 192 mg is a part of 1 tablet. Auxiliary components: sodium chloride, microcrystallic cellulose, magnesium stearate, colloid silicon dioxide, talc, titanium dioxide, oydragit L 30 D-55 or oydragit L-100, acid red 2 C, sodium of a kroskarmelloz.

Pharmacological action

Use of Pancreatinum promotes digestion. Fills shortage of enzymes of a pancreas, has proteolytic, amylolytic and lipolytic effect, strengthens splitting of carbohydrates, proteins and fats in a 12-perstny gut thanks to what there is their fuller and bystry absorption. Normalizes processes of digestion and improves work of digestive tract.

Such enzymes are a part of Pancreatinum: alpha amylase, proteases (chymotrypsin and trypsin), lipase.

In the conditions of normal intestinal microflora amylase splits starch at first to dextrins, and then to a maltose.

Thanks to a lipase neutral fat is split to fatty acids and monoglycerides which owing to interaction with bile acids are quickly acquired in an upper part of a small intestine.

Proteases help proteins to be split to free amino acids and polypeptides.

The cover of tablets is not dissolved in the acid environment of a stomach and does not allow to collapse to pancreatic enzymes under the influence of a gastric juice.

Indications to use

The indication to Pankreatin is replacement therapy at vneshnesekretorny insufficiency of a pancreas:

pancreatectomy;
dyspepsia;
chronic pancreatitis;
cystous fibrosis (mucoviscidosis);
state after radiation.

Route of administration and mode of dosing

According to the instruction Pancreatinum is intended for the use inside. Tablets are drunk during meal or right after it, washing down with a large amount of liquid. The dosage depends on age of the patient and indications to Pankreatin.
