Polideksa
Application instruction:
Polideksa – the combined drug with antiinflammatory and antibacterial action for use in the LOR-expert.
Form of release and structure
Dosage form – drops ear: transparent, light yellow color, foam at agitation (on 10,5 ml in yellow glass bottles, in a pack a cardboard 1 bottle complete with a dosing pipette).
Active agents in 1 ml of drops:
- Polymyxin B sulfate – 10 000 action units (AU);
- Neomycinum sulfate – 10 mg (6500 PIECES);
- Dexamethasone metasulfosodium benzoate – 1 mg.
Auxiliary components: sodium hydroxide (1N solution), citric acid, a macrogoal 400, tiomersat, polysorbate 80, the water purified.
Indications to use
- Outside otitis (on condition of absence of damage of a tympanic membrane);
- The infected eczema of outside acoustical pass.
Contraindications
Absolute:
- Injuries of a tympanic membrane of traumatic or infectious character;
- Hypersensitivity to any component of drug.
Route of administration and dosage
Polideksa is dug in in outside acoustical pass. Before drug use, in order to avoid unpleasant feelings which are caused by the cold liquid which got into an ear the bottle should be warmed, having taken it in a hand.
The recommended single doses:
- Adults: on 1-5 drops in each ear;
- Children: on 1-2 drops in each acoustical pass.
Frequency rate of instillation – 2 times a day. Treatment duration – 6-10 days.
Side effects
Polideksa is generally had well, allergic reactions are in rare instances possible.
At disturbance of integrity of a tympanic membrane the risk of toxic effect of drug on a hearing and vestibular mechanism appears.
Special instructions
With Polideksu's care it is necessary to apply during pregnancy as the probability of ototoksichesky impact on a fruit increases.
It is impossible to enter drops under pressure.
Along with Polideksa it is impossible to apply other aminoglycosides.
At patients with an allergy to Neomycinum the cross allergy with aminoglikozidny antibiotics can be noted.
Allergic reaction at topical administration of polymyxin B or Neomycinum can exclude a possibility of system use of other antibiotics which on structure are close to the specified means.
Medicinal interaction
Because of Polideksu's incompatibility it is impossible to apply along with netilmitsiny, gentamycin, streptomycin, amikacin, Monomycinum (strengthening of ototoksichesky action is noted).
Terms and storage conditions
To store at a temperature up to 25 ºС in the place, unavailable to children.
