Anatoxin

Anatoxin (Greek ana-(prefix) – returnable action, action strengthening, the movement up + Greek toxikon (pharmakon) – poison; synonym: toxoid) – bacterial exotoxin which lost toxicity because of long influence by formalin at preservation of antigenic properties is applied to active immunization. The anatoxin deposited which was cleared and concentrated on some surfactants (aluminum phosphate, an aluminum hydroxide) possesses a high immunogenicity in connection with adjuvant action of a sorbent and the slowed-down resorption.
