Ataxy

Ataxy (ataxia; Greek ataxia – lack of coordination, a disorder) – disturbance of movements which is shown by disorder of their coordination.

Allocate the following types of an ataxy:

  • Alcoholic (alcoholica) – arises at a drunkenness; it is caused by functional frustration of vestibulomozzhechkovy system;
  • Articulation (articulatoria) – is followed by disturbances of an articulation of the speech; it is shown by its tolchkoobraznost, slowness, prolixity; it is observed against the background of damage of a cerebellum and its bonds with a brain trunk;
  • Vestibular (vestibularis; synonym: the ataxy labyrinth) – arises at defeat of a vestibular analyzer; it is shown by a nystagmus, dizziness, a trunk deviation when standing and walking towards defeat;
  • Dynamic (dynamica; synonym: the ataxy locomotory) – is shown by a lack of coordination at autokinesias of extremities, in particular upper;
  • Hysterical (hysterica) – has a psychogenic origin; it is characterized by big variability of manifestations depending on degree of suggestibility of the patient and his emotional state;
  • Frontal (frontalis) – a statiko-locomotory ataxy on the party opposite to the center of defeat frontal мостомозжечковых ways;
  • Cerebellar (cerebellaris) – an ataxy at damage of a cerebellum and/or its efferent and afferent conduction paths; it is shown in the form of a static or dynamic ataxy;
  • Cerebellar acute (acerebellaris acuta; synonyms: Vestfalya-Leiden an acute cerebellar ataxy, Leyden-Vestfal an acute ataxy) – a passing ataxy cerebellar; arises at height of development of an acute infectious disease and intoxication or after them;
  • Rubralny (rubralis; annate. nucleus ruber – a red kernel) – a dynamic ataxy; it is combined with a rough tremor of extremities on the party which is opposite to the center of defeat of back department of a red kernel;
  • Sensitive (sensitiva) – a dynamic and static ataxy; arises at defeats of ways of proprioceptive sensitivity;
  • Spinal (spinalis) – a sensitive ataxy; arises at defeat of back columns of a spinal cord;
  • Statiko-lokomotornaya (staticolocomotoria) – it is shown by disorders of walking and standing;
  • Static (statica; synonym: the trunk ataxy) – is shown by disturbance of balance in a sitting position and standing;
  • Tabic (tabetica) – a spinal ataxy; arises as display of syphilis of a nervous system.
