Bondarchuk modification of a sympathectomy (A. V. Bondarchuk, Soviet neurosurgeon, sort. in 1899; late lat. modificatio – establishment of a measure, from armor. modus – a look, a measure + lat. facio – to do; sympathectomy, симпато – annate. pars sympathica + Greek ektome – excision, cutting) – modification of a chest sympathectomy at which the resection of the II-III edges throughout 4-5 cm between a neck and their corner, a resection of cross shoots of the II-III chest vertebrae and a section of internodal bonds of a boundary trunk under and over a remote node is carried out.
