Dibazolum
Application instruction:
Dibazolum – drug with hypotensive, spasmolytic and vasodilating action.
Form of release and structure
Dibazolum is released in the following dosage forms:
- Tablets (in blister strip packagings on 10 pieces, on 1 or 2 packagings in a cardboard pack; in dark glass jars on 50 pieces, on 1 or 30 cans in a cardboard pack; in dark glass jars on 80 pieces, on the 1 or 24 banks in a cardboard pack);
- Tablets for children (in planimetric bezjyacheykovy packagings on 10 pieces);
- Solution for intravenous and intramuscular administration (on 5 mg/ml: on 2 or 5 ml in ampoules with a knife ampoule, on 5 or 10 ampoules in a cardboard pack; on 10 mg/ml: on 1, 2 or 5 ml in ampoules with a knife ampoule, on 5 or 10 ampoules in a cardboard pack).
Active agent – Bendazolum, in quantity is a part of drug:
- 1 tablet – 20 mg;
- 1 tablet for children – 4 mg;
- 1 ml of solution for injections – 5 or 10 mg.
Indications to use
- Spasms of smooth muscles of internals (including intestinal gripes, a peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum);
- Spasm of arteries (including spasms of peripheral arteries, a coronary spasm), arterial hypertension;
- Diseases of a nervous system (including peripheral defeat (paralysis) of a facial nerve, the residual phenomena of the postponed poliomyelitis).
Contraindications
It is contraindicated to apply Dibazolum with hypersensitivity to drug components.
Route of administration and dosage
Adults Dibazol in the form of tablets should accept inside, observing an interval with meal not less than 2 hours.
Single dose – 20-50 mg, frequency rate of reception – 2-3 times a day, therapy duration – 21-28 days (carrying out shorter courses is possible).
At treatment of diseases of a nervous system it is necessary to accept Dibazolum on 5 mg (administration of drug every other day is possible), only 5-10 receptions on a course once a day.
To children drug is appointed once a day. The single dose is defined by age. To children till 1 year usually appoint 1 mg, 1-3 years – on 2 mg, 4-8 years – on 3 mg, 9-12 years – on 4 mg, 12 years – on 5 mg are more senior. If necessary in 3-4 weeks the course can be repeated.
It is necessary to enter Dibazolum in the form of 1% of solution for injections intramusculary 2-3 times a day on 2-3 ml. Duration of a therapeutic course – 8-14 days.
Side effects
During use of Dibazolum development of allergic reactions is possible.
Special instructions
Dibazolum should be applied with care the patient of advanced age.
Long therapy of arterial hypertension, especially at elderly patients, is not recommended.
Medicinal interaction
Reception of Bendazolum promotes the prevention of the increase in the general peripheric resistance of vessels caused by beta adrenoblockers.
At simultaneous use of Dibazolum with diuretics and anti-hypertensive medicines strengthening of anti-hypertensive action is possible.
Phentolamine at combined use with Bendazolum strengthens its hypotensive action.

Period of validity:
- Tablets: 5 years at the room temperature (it is not higher than 25 ° C);
- Solution for injections: 4 years at a temperature of 5-30 °C.
