Atheromatosis

Atheromatosis (atheromatosis; Greek athere – liquid porridge, gruel, adjournment of soft, pasty substances + Greek Uma – оконч. in the name of tumors + Greek - Usis (словообраз. a suffix) – a disease) – a stage of development of an atherosclerotic plaque; it is characterized by education in its center of a fine-grained detritis as a result of disintegration of proteinaceous and lipidic masses, elastic and collagenic fibers, and also crystallization of fatty acids and cholesterol.
