Description:
Ecthyma (ecthyma vulgare; from Greek ekthyma — a pustule) — the piogenic disease of skin caused by a streptococcus rarely staphylococcus.
Ecthyma symptoms:
The phlyctena contains pus of yellowish color, sometimes with bloody impurity. Integrity of a bubble on the second – third day is broken, and becomes covered by a yellow friable crust. At decrustation the gaping ulcer with the uneven basis is found. Zazhivany ulcers proceeds during two – three weeks, at the weakened immunity – longer. Is caused by stafilokokka, can develop at considerable traumatization, including raschesam at parasitic piodermita. Most often ecthymas affect the lower extremities.
Treatment of an ecthyma:
Treatment of an ecthyma is directed first of all to stabilization of the immune status of an organism, regulation and correction of food, necessary processing of an ecthyma. In the weakened organism the disease quite often flows in the complicated form. The bottom of an ecthyma reaches a hypodermic fatty tissue, lymph nodes can increase.
For prevention of entering of an additional infection leather on perimeter of an ulcer is processed at first spirit solution, then diamond greens. The bubble is punctured with the disinfected needle. After alienation of a crust, the ulcer is washed out furacilinum solution. After the cleared ulcer it is closed by a sterile bandage with antiinflammatory and antibacterial ointment.
